With “Let’s Dance” the chaff separates from the wheat. After the jury and audience rating, this couple surprisingly have to go.
The TV chef and moderator Roland Trettl and his dance partner Kathrin Menzinger left the RTL dance show “Let’s Dance”. The couple could not collect enough jury and audience voices for their tango for “TNT” from ACDC.
“It wasn’t your dance, I don’t take you away from you either,” said juror Joachim Llambi. The 53-year-old worked on him like “Quasimodo”-the shape of the bell from Notre Dame from Disney animation. “But I would like to see the Trettl again next week,” the judge demanded – in vain.
The “First Dates” moderator Trettl and Menzinger collected 15 jurype points – more than three other couples in this round. But with voices from the spectators, they ultimately passed the two in the overall ranking.
Previously, the visually impaired swimmer Taliso Engel had to tremble, who had started the race as a public favorite. At the beginning of the season, the 22-year-old and his partner Patricija Ionel even received a direct ticket from the audience, so they could not leave the first round last week.
In addition to competition, Engel had also danced a high jury ranking. Now, however, the swimmer, especially among the judges. For a rumba for the song “Never Gonna Give You Up” by Rick Astley, there was only one of ten possible points from the strictest juror Joachim Llambi and nine jurype points in total.
“You weren’t 80 percent in time,” said Llambi. And Motsi Mabuse warned: “It is a strong, strong dance, the rumba and it needs more skills.” Engel said immediately after the jury classification: “I was incredibly difficult this week”, he did not get the many individual movements in “an overall package”.
Singer Ben Zucker (41) and actress Simone Thomalla received only 13 jurype points with her partners – the second worst result in the eyes of the judges. She also saved the rating of the TV audience to the next round next Friday, March 14th.
Comedians Osan Yaran and professional dancer Christina Hänni had already left last week.
