Oscar winner: Halle Berry believes in intelligent extraterrestrial life

Impressed by her role in Roland Emmerich’s disaster film “Moonfall”, actress Halle Berry talks about the fascination of the universe in an interview. She firmly believes in intelligent life in space.

Oscar winner Halle Berry (55, “Monster’s Ball”) is “very fascinated” by learning more about the universe. “I know that we are not the only intelligent life,” said the actress in the dpa interview.

“I fantasize that there will be knowledge and concrete evidence of what that could be before I die.” In Roland Emmerich’s new disaster film “Moonfall”, Berry goes into space as an astronaut and NASA boss. A mysterious force has thrown the moon out of its orbit, now it threatens to impact the earth.

Filming during pandemic

Shooting in the middle of the corona pandemic, even before there were vaccines, was a “big challenge”, says Berry. “My water bottle became my best friend because that was the closest thing to me,” the actress joked. On the set, they should all have kept their distance from each other. “But I was very grateful to have a job,” said the actress. Many Hollywood productions had been canceled or postponed. Berry recommends the disaster spectacle “Moonfall” to cinema-goers as a “fun trip” out of everyday life in the pandemic.
