End with microtrends in fashion

As quickly as trends on Instagram detach, you cannot pull out the EC card in the shop. So is now over.
Dark Academia, Tomato Girl, Cowboy Core: If you are interested in fashion and travel on Instagram and Tikkok, you have hardly been able to get along for some time. Microtrends drove almost fashion to the extreme.
The pink ballet core outfit has just walked over the counter, suddenly black fakefur coats and heavy gold jewelry in the mob-wife style are the last scream. As quickly as trends now detach, you cannot pull out the EC card in the shop. But now, however, a kind of trend fatigue seems to be slowly facing a kind of trendy tiredness and the festival.
Life instead of post
And the counter-movement to this is already at the start: how there is any other way, the last “fried summer”, triggered by overalls Charli XCX (32), showed her album of the same name and an attitude that hit the zeitgeist and did not even stop at Kamala Harris’s Twitter account (60). But the frying summer was not just about poison green clothes and accessories – but about the “vibe” and the attitude. You wanted to be loud, be raw, be real, be wild. Wine stains on the white shirt instead of Instagram filters on the face, cigarette for breakfast instead of accurately tidied acai-bowls in feed, celebrate your own untideability instead of failing on the “That Girl” ideal. And above all: life instead of post.
“Today, fashion is about a vibe that not only reflects an aesthetics, but also a whole mood,” writes the “Guardian”. The new credo is emotions instead of consumption. Vibes are also not limited to clothes and styles – they include everything from behaviors to music to food and hobbies. Style is now more about certain sports-think of the reformer pilates hype-or individual DIY projects such as charm bags and creativity (wearing clothes backwards is also a new thing). It is now about really living your life instead of just buying a lifestyle through trend products. This is good news for the planet as well as the psyche and the wallet of all fashionistas.
Microtrends are not fashion, but cosplay
In the meantime there is even a real anti-microtrend trend. After all, short -lived trends are the opposite of everything that fashion stands for at best: individuality, expression and creativity. Anyone who only hits trends afterwards shows that they lack their own ideas. Or as Brand strategist Eugene Healey explains: “Turning yourself into microtrends shows everyone that you are online throughout. It is not fashion, it is cosplay.” So it is now even embarrassing to be seen with an excessively hyped article like the Stanley Cup.
The tip of the zeitgeist climbs the one who doesn’t want to participate in the vibe and trend check, a mixture of norm core and minimalism is the current style. According to the lifestyle magazine, you can already see at the universities in big cities that the cool kids are now dressing extra calm: blue jeans, gray sweater, black boots.
“Basic”, that is “common”, is now understood as a compliment. It implies that you don’t have to prove anything that you can afford to get out of the fashion carousel that you would rather “be” working instead of “working”. If that’s not a revolution.
