Eli Wasserscheid before Nockherberg premiere: There are many parallels to the parody role

For the first time, CSU politician Dorothee “Doro” Bär (46) will be represented in the traditional salvator test on the Nockherberg as a role in the Singspiel “A Wadl for Germany”. The politician is embodied by actress Eli Wasserscheid (46), who is known to many spectators as Commissioner Wanda Goldwasser from the Franconian “crime scene”. In an interview with the news agency Spot on News, Wasserscheid is looking forward to this new challenge.

“I am very happy because I am a big fan of this Bavarian cultural asset,” explains the actress. She is particularly enthusiastic about the collaboration with her colleagues: “Standing with these wonderful colleagues on stage, under the direction of Stefan Betz and Richard Oehmann, Martin Probst’s music … that’s just a really great gift,” she says.

For her role, Wasserscheid dealt intensively with Dorothee Bär: “I tried to see as much motion as possible from her-her Bundestag speeches and numerous interviews, have always looked at her social media posts.” A coincidence had helped her: “Of course, I was very involved in my hands that the election campaign at the same time as rehearsals for this year’s Nockherberg went into his hot phase.

The preparation also simplifies a biographical detail: “That we both come from Franconia and were even socialized in the same city,” said the Bamberg native. The special challenge is now “the public Dorothee Bär, as I experienced it in her appearances, to transfer it into the exaggerated world of Singspiel on the Nockherberg,” explains Wasserscheid with a laugh.

But it is not just watercoat and bear that come from Franconia. There are also parallels between their parody role and their “crime scene” figure Wanda Goldwasser: “Both figures are women, both do what they do with great passion and energy. And both come from Franconia. That is a lot,” says Wasserscheid.

So far, there has been no personal meeting with the real Dorothee Bär: “No, there was no personal meeting. But I think Ms. Bär is also very busy with the election campaign, a federal election, exploratory talks, Ash Wednesday meetings and other things,” she shows in an understanding. It should therefore be particularly exciting if the politician and her parodist meet at the Nockherberg. “This will definitely be a bizarre and special moment for both of us,” says Wasserscheid.

Shortly before the stage appearance in front of the assembled political prominence, the actors have to get their stage fright under control. Eli Wasserscheid helps the experience: “Breathe, breathe, breathe … and after 20 years at work I know: If you have started, you have so much to do, then there is no time for stage fright,” says the artist, who has completed her training at the “Neue Munich drama school” and has been a member of the ensemble at the metropolitan theater in Munich since 2010. In addition to her appearances in the Franconian “crime scene”, she can also be seen as Jessie in the popular Eberhofer crime film films.

The Bavarian Radio broadcasts the strong beer test with the fasting preaching – for the fifth time by Maximilian “Maxi” Schafroth (born 1985) – and the Singspiel on Wednesday (March 12th) from 7 p.m. in the live show “On the Nockherberg 2025”. From 10 p.m. the presentation in the live talk “cleanly coarse” will be discussed.
