25 years ago, Anastacia stormed into the charts with her debut album “Not that Kind”. Shortly before the start of her anniversary tour, she talks about health, career and what connects her with the Royals.
The US pop singer Anastacia (“I’m Outta Love”) is pleased about the health progress of the British Royals for their cancer. The 56-year-old said in an interview with the German Press Agency in London. Anastacia herself had to struggle with cancer several times. When she suffered breast cancer for the second time in 2013, she had both breasts removed.
“Of course you want them to be fine. You want you to suffer. And you are glad that you have survived,” said the singer, who starts a European tour this week for the 25th anniversary of her debut album “Not that Kind” with concerts in Barcelona. She celebrates the start of Germany on March 31st in Berlin. There are other concerts in Leipzig, Düsseldorf, Hanover, Hamburg and Nuremberg. The album will also appear as a new edition on Vinyl in the coming month.
Anastacia can also gain positive things to her illnesses
Similar to King Charles (76) and Princess Kate (43), both of whom made a cancer diagnosis in the past year, Anastacia took her illness as an opportunity to speak in public about the importance of health care.
It is also important that celebrities talk about illnesses because it shows that all people, regardless of the position, go through the same emotions when life brings unpleasant surprises, says Anastacia.
The woman can also get something positive with the voluminous voice of her own illnesses – because she would have always given her a break from the pop star: “For me it might be a blessing to take a healthy breaks.” She admires other artists who have been in focus for decades of attention for decades. “I don’t know how to live a civilian, normal life,” she said.
