Fashion Weeks at the beginning of the year represent an annual highlight in the fashion world. What did the cities had to offer this year?
Whether in New York, London, Milan or Paris: The previous fashion Weeks of the year already had a lot to offer. Numerous new fashion and beauty trends were to be admired on and off the catwalks.
The fashion year 2025 started with the New York Fashion Week, which took place between February 6th and 11th. The sound for the upcoming autumn and winter trends 2025/2026 was already given there. Between February 20 and 24, numerous fashion prospects met in London. It continued in Milan. The Italian city was the scene of the latest trends from February 25th to March 3. The last stop: the French capital Paris between March 3 and 11.
Shoulder -free in New York
A trend that has long been seen above all away from the catwalks are shoulder -free tops and sweaters. The New York Fashion Week underlined the elegant fashion trend again. Brands like Jane Wade and Luar showed some pieces with subtle excerpts in the shoulder parts. Carolina Herrera also opted for the classic shoulder -free look. It can be worn in spring and summer and during the colder seasons.
Lace, lace, lace
The New York Fashion Week already realized that the top is currently in trend. The fabric was also in the center of some brands as part of the later London Fashion Week. Although it was the collections for autumn and winter 2025/26, top is also a trend that is perfect for the warm seasons and can be perfectly combined.
The hairstyle trends from London
As far as hairstyles are concerned, the London Fashion Week also offered some trends. Based on the so-called Y2K style, in which the 2000s experience their comeback, elements of this era can also be found in hairstyles. The designer Chet Lo, who worked with the hairstylist Anna Cofone as part of the fashion week. Instead of curling or waving all of the hair, Cofone deliberately concentrated on the rear parts or on the sides to give the style a new note.
Another hairstyle, which was present in London, were braided braids, which, however, stand out from the rest of the hair and thus lie practically on the hair. Other trends that could be seen on the catwalk were messy braids and small braids framing their face.
Simple nails as a fashionable statement
Another beauty trend that London emphasized were simple manicures or even naked nails. The paint, which showed itself on the catwalks with several labels, was either transparent and shimmering or marked by a classic, subtle French tip. The naked manicure is celebrated, simplicity here is the motto.
The return of the statement chains
The Milan Fashion Week offered the perfect stage for the Italian fashion house Prada. The focus here was in particular: the statement chain. So in the future it can be expected with striking and unusual chains. Whether with large pearls or other unusual materials: this trend catches the eye and ensures variety.
Maximalism in Paris
Paris made the crowning glory of the fashion Weeks. There, too, numerous trends and fashionable statements met. The loud and luxurious clothing styles were a tendency that could be seen. This became clear, especially apart from the catwalks, among visitors to the Fashion Week. Instead of the neutral and simple wardrobe popular in Milan, the spectators in Paris wore rather daring, striking outfits. The motto here was: the more, the better. Numerous maximum trends were the focus of street style fashion. Whether leopard patterns, strong and striking red tones or pastel rosa ensembles: fashion in Paris caught the eye and reflected both the upcoming spring and summer trends as well as the later autumn and winter fashion.
