It is not uncommon for long-forgotten trends from the last century to celebrate a comeback-including psychedelic tie dye technology, Batik for short.
Also this year you can see the pastel -colored looks behind many shop windows of common fashion brands – or in numerous online shops. The bright colors exude the right feeling and bring a certain ease. Whether clothes or swimwear, T-shirts or leggings, skirts or shorts: The trendy batik trends again conquer the catwalks of this world. Which looks are announced is listed below.
Tie-dy pattern: these are the batik trends
1. Courageous colors
Even if classic batik trends are mostly colorful, covered colors are trendy. The minimalist looks look elegant and fashionable at the same time. But don’t worry: pastel-colored batik looks are of course still popular: whether baby blue, mint green or delicate pink-everything that is fun is allowed. And even bright colors – especially pink and yellow – are in demand this season.

2. Classic pattern
Nothing changed this year on the batik patterns: frayed circles, narrow or wide zigzag lines adorn pretty much every piece of clothing-and that’s a good thing. After all, they are the result of the special tie dye technique, i.e. the setting and coloring of textiles. The classic patterns last set new trends in the 90s and will probably do so again this year.

3. Light materials
Since we are increasingly using short clothing in the warm months, most batik trends come in light materials: thin fabrics such as viscose or cotton mixtures are particularly popular, but for swimwear, on the other hand, water-resistant textiles are mostly used-for example polyester or nylon, as with this bikini set of the Floern brand.

How to correctly combine the batik patterns
Due to the many colors and patterns, a batik look can quickly bring restlessness into an outfit. For this reason you will find the most important dos and nots here:
- Combine batik pattern with subtle colors. For example, if you wear a bright top, a simple shorts are suitable. If you choose a colorful dress, the knitting years can come in light colors (gladly one that can also be found on the dress). Always pay attention to a balanced mix.
- If you rely on a combination of batik patterns and basics in your outfit, it does not mean that your accessories must also be kept simple. On the contrary: whether jewelry, bag or shoes-here you are welcome to resort to bright colors, which ideally find yourself in a batik look.
- Not really fashionable and an absolute no-go is a wild mix of different patterns. In other words, do not wear batik looks in combination with textiles on which there are points or lines, lines or circles. Unfortunately, the whole outfit usually seems much too intrusive and restless.
