Amira Aly: Celebrity women avoided Oliver Pocher because of their marriage

As a podcaster, Amira Aly has had plenty of experience in recent years. Only on the side of her husband, comedian Oliver Pocher, then with her own podcast and finally together with her brother Ibrahim Aly. Now the 32-year-old has started a new project. Together with columnist Paula Lambert, she runs the “Iced Macho Latte” podcast, the first episode of which has now been published. Among other things, Aly reports that she had to struggle with prejudices and rejection in the past – because she was married to Oliver Pocher.

Back-Influencer Sally Özcan initially did not want to appear in her podcast “Hey Amira” because she “finds my former partner in public,” says Aly, without naming Pocher’s name. Özcan, who built up a back empire under the “Sally’s World” label, then decided to give Aly a chance and to get to know her as an independent person. “Today we get along great. I love this woman,” said Aly. In the meantime, women not only combine their passion for baking, but a friendship.

Amira Aly had a similar experience with singer Senna Gammour. The two women met with the shooting for the Sat.1 show “The Great Promibacken”. The mood on the set was icy. “She didn’t greet me. She hates my former partner. Accordingly, she hated me,” said Aly. One of the trigger for Gammour’s dislike was Oliver Pocher’s format “screen control”. During the Corona pandemic, the comedian regularly published videos in which he made fun of influencers. Senna Gammour also met his mockery.

“In public perception it looked like I had taken part. I was the one who fought for some things to be taken out before they go online. People don’t have that on the screen that I have often said: this is too far. Married one thing, but we are not one and the same person.
