CDU politician Armin Laschet is often confused with SPD Minister Boris Pistorius. Among other things, this already caused great excitement.
The visual similarity cannot be denied: CDU politician Armin Laschet (64) is sometimes confused with Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (64). The Union’s former Chancellor’s candidate now revealed that he can laugh at these confusion.
Great excitement in the ministry
He lives in Berlin on the same street as Pistorius, Laschet said in an interview. Every morning, on the one hand, Pistorius’ company car is just in front of the door where he has often considered. Pistorius could also laugh about that. Due to the similarity, however, there had already been a great excitement in the ministry.
He always goes to the Bundestag with the e-scooter, said the MP in the podcast. “And then there was huge upright in the ministry that the police called there, you have to tell him now that the minister cannot drive through the area with the e -scooter – and it was not him, but me,” says Laschet. That happens again and again.
“I’m not your minister”
He was also confused at the Munich Security Conference. A soldier greeted him with the words before the elevator: “Good morning, Minister.” Whereupon he replied: “I’m not your minister.”
When he was still the Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia, it was rather the other way round. Pistorius was often asked: “Can we make a selfie, Mr. Laschet?” In the meantime, however, the SPD politician is “in many ways”.
