In the legal dispute with Justin Baldoni, Blake Lively has achieved partial success: the court now protects its sensitive personal data.

The conflict between the two “only once” main actor Blake Live (37) and Justin Baldoni (41) started over a year ago. Now a judge has made an important decision in the constant legal dispute of the two actors: sensitive personal information should be particularly protected so that they do not reach the public.

Protection of sensitive information

“The parties have raised accusations for theft of business secrets and the disclosure of confidential, sensitive information,” said judge Lewis J. Liman in a decision. Against this background, the judge issued a far -reaching arrangement that characterizes certain categories of information as “only for lawyers”.

The protected information includes business secrets, confidential business plans, security measures, medical information and “highly personal and intimate information” about third parties and the parties involved. “The risk of disclosure is great,” the judge warned both sides.

A PR war in court

The judge even spoke of a “feud between PR companies” during a previous hearing. In fact, both Livelys and Baldonis teams had used the courtroom as well as public opinion for their purposes.

The conflict began in December 2023 when LiveLy submitted a harassment and retaliation against Baldoni, his production studio Wayfarer Studios and other participants in the California civil rights department. In her lawsuit, Lively claimed that a dirt campaign had been launched against her in order to ward off possible accusations against Baldoni in the run -up to the cinema from “only once” in August 2024.

Both sides claim victory

As so often in this case, both Lively and Baldoni claim victory after the judge’s decision. “Today, the court rejected the Wayfarer parties’ objections and introduced the protective measures that are necessary to ensure the free flow of evidence,” said a spokesman for LIVELY.

Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman countered: “We fully agree with the decision of the court to grant close protection for categories such as private health data and personal security measures – things that were never of interest to us.”

Long -term process is imminent

The actual court hearing is only scheduled for May 2026. Until then, the case should still make many headlines. In addition to the main conflict between Lively and Baldoni, there are now several other complaints related to the dispute.

Despite all legal disputes, “only once” with income of over $ 300 million was a commercial success worldwide. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover and addresses domestic violence.
