Dolly Parton performed publicly for the first time after her husband’s death: “I miss him,” said the singer.
The grief still weighs seriously: just two weeks after the death of her husband, Dolly Parton (79) occurred again. On March 3, Carl Thomas Dean died at the age of 82. After almost 60 years of marriage, the singer, whose greatest hit “Jolene” (1973) was once inspired by her husband, mourns public.
As “WSPA” reported, the star was again showing the fans at an event in Tennessee. Parton therefore appeared in her function as the owner of the Dollywood theme park at the ceremonial preview of the 40th season, which officially starts on Saturday. She therefore opened the event for the owner of season tickets on Friday, March 14th by first thanking the fans for her sympathy, the flowers and cards, which she received after her husband’s death.
“Of course I will always love and miss him,” said the musician before addressing her words directly to her dead husband, “and I want you to know that I will always love you”.
A few days earlier, Dolly Parton also dedicated a new ballad to her husband entitled “If you hadn’t Been there” (German if you hadn’t been there “). In the associated Instagram post, the singer wrote to a photo of earlier days: “I fell in love with Carl Dean when I was 18 years old. We spent 60 years of value and meaningful years together. Like all great love stories, they never end. They live in memory and in songs. He will always be the star of my life story, and I will dedicate this song to him.”
