Affairs, marriage problems, divorce: about the relationship between Barack and Michelle Obama there were wild rumors in the White House. Today the two can handle it.
Michelle Obama revealed how she deals with the rumors about her marriage and family. The former First Lady and her older brother Craig Robinson were recently guests at the “South by Southwest” festival in Texas to record their new podcast “Imo with With Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson”.
Records were not allowed. But a topic in the performance was also dealing with negative energy. After eight years in the White House and further years in the spotlight, Obama apparently has plenty of experience in hiding them. According to the audience “People”, she told her and husband Barack Obama.
“People always ask me and Barack how we did it not only in the white house in the eight years, but also to stay hopeful,” she said. Because there was a lot of negative energy, “which flowed in our direction – a lot of rumors, a lot of gossip and gossip …”.
What helped you with all of this not to lose your mind, “and we tried to teach our daughters – is that you can’t live on social media,” explained Michelle Obama. “I think I haven’t looked at a comment area once, point.” According to the report, she now also warns others: “Do not let this negative energy penetrate your room. These are people who don’t know you. Much of the stuff is invented and not enriched,” she said. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t find out more. “But stay informed has nothing to do with the comment area.”
She continued: “I think we shouldn’t be caught up by social media that we only concentrate on this one type of information procurement. We have to expand our spectrum and come away from the smartphone.”
New podcast with her brother
Michelle Obama’s new podcast and her brother celebrated its premiere on Wednesday. In the talks, the siblings offer themselves as “trustworthy guides” for their listeners. “With everything that happens in the world, we are all looking for answers and people to whom we can turn,” said Michelle Obama when announcing her podcast.
