History continues Ethan Kopec (Taron Egerton), an airport security agent in Los Angeles that, together with his pregnant girlfriend, Nora ParisI (Sofía Carson), works on Christmas eve. What seemed like a chaotic but routine night changes drastically when a mysterious passenger arrives at the airport with a alibi that does not fit.
As the minutes advance and the flights take off, Ethan begins to notice suspicious details in the traveler’s behavior, played by Jason Bateman. What at first seems like a simple administrative irregularity, soon becomes a counterreloj race to avoid a possible threat to the airport.
With a perfect mixture of unexpected tension, action and turns, hand luggage keeps the viewer on the edge of the seat during its two hours. The plot not only plays with the suspense, but explores moral dilemmas and the thin line between security and paranoia.
