The Pope is doing better – and everyone can see that now. A photo shows Francis at the fair in the small clinic chapel.

The Vatican published the first picture of Pope Francis (88) on Sunday evening since he was posted to the hospital on February 14th. It shows the head of the Roman Catholic Church at the fair in the chapel on the 10th floor of the Gemelli Clinic.

Condition further stable

Overall, his condition is still stable, on March 16, citing the Vatican press office. The Pontifex has been treated in the Gemelli Clinic in Rome for more than a month. He was admitted to the hospital with bronchitis on February 14, later a pneumonia and polymiic robical infection were diagnosed.

The picture that the Vatican published shows the Pope in front of the altar in the small chapel on the 10th floor near his room. He has been looking for prayer a day for a few days, it said. So far, Francis had only spoken out with a short audio message, which was played on St. Peter’s Square on March 6th at the evening rosary and in which he thanked for the prayers for his recovery.

Therapies continued

As the press office announced, the Pope continued its prescribed therapies on Sunday, including respiratory and movement therapy. He did not receive visits, but spent the day with prayer, rest periods and a little work. Because of the improved health situation, there should be no medical bulletin on Monday.

The Vatican had already stated on Saturday that Pope Francis’ condition had remained stable. However, the Pope still had to stay in the hospital to continue his therapies there. Francis had just celebrated his twelve -year anniversary in the clinic. Jorge Mario Bergoglio, who comes from Argentina, has been Pope since March 13, 2013.
