Fashion sins of the 90s: What did we think?

The 90s were a fun decade in many ways. With a view of aesthetics, on the other hand, you sometimes have to shake your head in astonishment.

In the charts: Eurodance, absurd techno remixes and Stefan Raabs “chain link fence”. On TV: “Bravo TV” and the “Disney Club”. We collected pacifier chains, signatures of our friends on the folder, wrote love letters and in friends books. Anyone who was a teenager in the 1990s should all happen. Apart from the usual suffering – acne, broken hearts, dramas in the friends clique and the dissolution of Take that – it was a very fun decade. Neon, techno, photo lovestory. And the eternal question of what the hell always from Dr. Summer “Petting” should actually be and who does something like that.

But it wasn’t all of the sunshine: if you look at photos of back then – old class photos are ideal, for example – it will twitch a little. How did we look back then, please? Why did we have the aura of forty -seven -year -olds at thirteen – was it because we suddenly all colored our hair aubergine red? Aubergine red?! And why did our clothes either have no shape at all, or much too much shape and too little fabric? Wild, dear readers, it was wild.

Fashion of the 90s: pretty questionable

Much of what was big at the time can be seen again on very young people on the street: tattoo neck bands and “Eastpak” backpacks, for example. Is it somehow nice that trends move in this eternal cycle (“The Eternal Circle” from the soundtrack to the “King of Lion”, 1994) or is it unfortunate that the young generation has not learned from our mistakes?

Be it: no matter whether aging millenials or tender-like gene-Zler, in the photo gallery you can click through the worst fashion trends in the 90s. And optionally laughing or sighing nostalgically. Just imitating is not a good idea.
