Four times in a row, comedian Jimmy Kimmel moderated the Oscars, this year his colleague Conan O’Brien had celebrated its premiere – and can now go again.
After his premiere as an Oscar host this year, the US comedian Conan O’Brien (61) will moderate the gala again next year. O’Brien will also act as a host in the award ceremony planned for March 15, 2026, said the Filmakademie in Los Angeles. The comedian had its own late night show for decades and is currently working primarily as a podcast host.
“The only reason why I moderate the Oscars next year is that I want to hear how Adrien Brody ended his speech,” joked O’Brien. Actor Brody had won the Oscar as the best leading actor at the gala around two weeks ago and then kept the longest thank -you speech of the history of the gala.
Previously, the comedian Jimmy Kimmel moderated the Oscars four times in a row, but then said in interviews that that had become too much for him.
