Duchess Meghan: Green Waffles to St. Patrick’s Day

While Princess Kate (43) returned to one of her favorite events, the traditional St. Patrick’s Day Parade, on March 17, her sister -in -law also celebrated the national holiday of Ireland in distant California. Duchess Meghan (43) prepared a very special breakfast for her family.

Prince Harry’s wife (40) shared a selection of videos in which she baked green waffles. “We love topics!” Meghan wrote and showed a waffle with a kiwi as a mouth, blueberries as eyes and whipped cream as hair “for the children”. Prince Archie (5) and Princess Lilibet (3) were able to look forward to a special treat for breakfast at St. Patrick’s Day. Meghan served a simple green waffle with a blob of cream and two strawberries for themselves and her husband. “For us! Beautiful St. Patrick’s Day!” She let her know. There was also a green shake for the green waffles.

The waffle iron may have a special meaning for the family: In 2021, Prince Harry James Corden (46) told the “Late Late Show” that Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) bought a waffle iron at Christmas. “My grandmother asked us what Archie wanted for Christmas and Meg said a waffle iron,” said Harry at the time. It is not known whether the one now used is really the gift of the Queen.

It is not the first time that the Duchess showed her love for a themed breakfast. On Valentine’s Day, for example, she had baked Bagels with Archie and Lilibet and cut strawberries to heart. In the background of the video, Nat King Cole’s song “Love” was also running.

The Duchess’s St. Patrick’s Day Posting was only a few hours after Princess Kate took part in the annual parade of the Irish Guards in the Wellington Barracks in London. Prince William (42 )’s wife celebrated a bright solo appearance, in which she also stealed with the guards. It was her first participation in the celebration in 2023. Last year she had to pause due to her cancer. The mother of three appeared in a dark green coat by Alexander McQueen with a suitable hat.
