Time magazine released the 2025 edition of its World’s Greatest Place list a selection of 100 exceptional destinations worldwide: hotels, cruises, restaurants, attractions, museums and parks, Among those who stand out to an Argentine place: Costa 7070, a bar, restaurant and disc located in Costanera Norte, in the city of Buenos Aireswhich was opened a few months ago.

How is Costa 7070, the chosen among the best restaurants in the world

Costa 7070 is the megaproject of a gastronomic company created by Inés de los Santos and the chef Pedro Bargero which inaugurated in October last year on the northern coast of Buenos Aires. Ideal to eat rich with author drinks and then stay to dance in front of the river.

Bargero (former Chila and Amarra) is in charge of the kitchen with a Spanish inspiration proposal with rice, tapas, skewers and paellas, the main course of coast. The restaurant, bar and disco offers elegant artisanal cocktails, DJs and a sophisticated disco atmosphere.

1,500 square meters and capacity for more than 200 cutlery. In the middle of the room, there is a LED cube where different images are screened.

The creators

Ines de los Santos He started his career at 21 in Great Danzón Barwhere he became head of Bar. She was in charge of the cocktails of Casa Cruz, a restaurant where she worked with Germán Martitegui and Aldo Graziani.

He worked in Setai, by Jean Paul Bondoux on the Uruguayan beaches. Back in Argentina, Armó JULEPa cocktail catering for events, after noticing the lack of style proposals. With the beginning of the Postcourtenena reopening, he presented Cochinchinayour bar. Together with Narda Lepes, KN ​​opened in 2023. Also, he recently opened in Sao Paulo El Kochi Japanese Bar along with the Japanese chef Makoto Okuwa.

Pedro Bargero He was born in Mendoza but grew up in San Luis and moved to Buenos Aires at age 14. At 20 he began studying gastronomy, and his first practices were in the Bourgognein Uruguay. After his first step by Chila and dom in Sao Paulohe worked with Mauro Colagreco and with David Toutain in France, where he became selected as one of the ten best young chef sub 30 in 2015.

He returned to Argentina to work as a kitchen in Chila before traveling to the United Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, Denmark and Russia to work. In 2016 he returned to Chila for the last time to become his executive chef until 2023, when the restaurant closed to give way to Amarra project.

In 2021, together with Andres Porcel, he created Yugo Omakaseone of the first Omakases bars in the country. During the summer of 2023 Pedro inaugurated the restaurant MAR – SURATLANTIC KITCHENin Mar del Plata, within the 5 Star Costa Galana hotel, where it seeks to deepen the connection with the Atlantic Ocean.
