Rosenstolz: Berlin authorities are investigating the cause of the death of Anna R.

After the death of the Rosenstolz singer Anna R., the police are dealt with. An official death investigation was initiated, as a police spokesman said. This usually includes an autopsy of the body. According to the current status, no public funeral is planned. This was announced by management on request.

Anna R. died at the age of 55. She was found dead in Berlin-Friedrichshain on Sunday evening. The police were informed on Monday morning, said the spokesman. On Tuesday, the Berlin public prosecutor should take over the procedure and also provide information.

Rosenstolz was one of the most successful pop duos of the past decades in Germany. The Berlin band had a particularly large number of fans in lesbians, gays and others not heterosexual people. Many fans and friends reacted with shock and grief.

Between 1991 and the preliminary end of the collaboration in 2012, the duo played twelve albums. After her time at Rosenstolz, the singer was active at the bands Gleis 8 and Silly.
