Farewell concerts: Dionne Warwick comes to Germany
A world star says “Goodbye” – the singer Dionne Warwick is planning appearances in German theater houses. The concerts will be in different federal states, but Bremen plays a special role.
The US singer Dionne Warwick is planning four last concerts in Germany in September. As the agency Bremen announced Events & Concerts, the 84-year-old will appear on September 12th in the Theater am Marientor in Duisburg on September 12th, on September 14th in the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden on September 12th and on September 16 in the Admiralspalast Berlin. The classic Philharmonie Nordwest will accompany the singer at the shows that are developed and rehearsed in Bremen, it said.
Warwick can look back on a successful world career with numerous Grammys and other awards for decades. Many of their hits like “I say a little prayer”, “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again” or “That’s what Friends are for” became classics.
According to the Bremen Events & Concerts agency, the singer sold more than 120 million recordings. Now she wants to say “Goodbye” in particularly atmospheric houses. “We are happy that we were able to convince Dionne of the idea of playing such special concerts with us in addition to Singapore, Melbourne, Melbourne, Stockholm or London,” said Jan Trautmann and Thorge Schramm from Bremen Events & Concerts.
