Sally Özcan reveals why she separated from her husband for her daughters
The YouTube cook Sally Özcan announced the separation from the father of her two daughters in 2023. Now she tells why she didn’t want to continue her marriage because of her children.
YouTube cook Sally Özcan has also separated from her husband because of her two daughters. “I no longer wanted to compromise and also not that my daughters think that lovelessness and arguments are normal in a marriage,” the 36-year-old explained to the magazine “Bunte”. “In a healthy partnership you grow together, talk about everything and respect the other. It wasn’t the case with us, and I didn’t want to show my daughters that way.”

The entrepreneur, who was born in Bruchsal in the Karlsruhe district, had announced her separation from the father of her two daughters in 2023. Before that, she fought for her marriage for years – “but in the end there was nothing left to save,” she says now. A mourning phase around the end of the marriage is now behind her, says Özcan. Today she lives with her daughters “a life without dramas” and “with a lot of joy and emotional balance”.

With cooking and back videos, Özcan has built up a fan base of more than one million Instagram followers and a good two million YouTube subscribers. In 2023 she took part in the RTL dance show “Let’s Dance”, this year she went on live tour for the first time.
