During their visit to Northern Ireland, Charles and Camilla visited institutions in Belfast. A whiskey tasting was waiting for the two.
King Charles III. (76) and wife Queen Camilla (77) visited Belfast on Wednesday. The royal couple completed a fully packed schedule in the northern Irish capital.
Her first stop was the multi -award -winning Commercial Court in the heart of the city, which was named in 2022 as the most beautiful street of Northern Ireland. According to BBC, they were warmly welcomed by the Belfaster Mayor Micky Murray, city council member Fiona Mcateer and the parliamentary deputy John Finucane.
The Royals experienced Northern Irish culture up close in the Altstadtgasse. They visited the Sea Holly Gallery, where they looked at portraits of local musicians and artists. The exhibition offered the royal couple the opportunity to get into conversation with creative people. During their tour of the city, the Royals also took the opportunity to talk to business owners, city guides and florists from the region and to find out about their experiences and challenges.
Stop at the whiskey shop
Willie Jack, a well -known face of the Belfaster catering scene, led the couple around. There was also a visit to the whiskey shop “The Friend at Hand”, where Charles and Camilla were invited to tasting. Pictures show how the two first toast and then approved a sip. Charles, confessing whiskey fan, described the offered as “very good”, while Camilla had to laugh at the strength of the whiskey.
King Charles also visited the NewForge sports complex, a facility with close connection to the Northern Irish police PSNI. There he presented a team award and, in accordance with BBC, addressed the assembled police officers: “It is so comforting to know that they are there. My opportunity is today to thank you for all your service. I do not take what you do for grant.” Meanwhile, Queen Camilla paid a visit to the Atlas Women’s Center in Lisburn. The facility offers women important support from various training and learning programs and exemplifies for Camilla’s many years of commitment to women’s rights and funding.
