Prince William for Back star Mary Berry places a surprising television appearance. He congratulates her for 90th birthday.
She obviously did not expect this congratulator: The British back expert Mary Berry celebrates her 90th birthday on March 24th-and receives congratulations from heir to the throne (42) in a TV show. In its sweet video message, the Royal even makes a cheeky joke about the strict back juror.
“I don’t even like to think about who bakes your cake”
The royal congratulations will be broadcast on the evening of March 24 in a BBC special sequence of “The One Show”, which was recorded in advance. However, the clip was published in advance on the program’s Instagram account. The queen of baking seems totally surprised when moderator Alex Jones announces the famous well -wishers who “has everything he knows about baking”.
William says in the video message: “I would like to wish you all the best for the 90th birthday. You are a real national heroine and we have enjoyed working with you over the years. I wish you a fantastic day today.” Then he jokingly added with a view to the birthday cake: “I don’t even think about who bakes her cake and what criticism he could harvest for it, but good luck and I hope it will be really good.”
Even son Louis has a particular relationship with Mary Berry
Mary Berry is famous for her jury role in the program “The Great British Bake Off” and her own cooking show “Mery Barry Cooks”. Prince William and his wife Kate (43) are considered the big fans of the back star. In 2019 the couple appeared in their BBC One show “A Berry Royal Christmas”. As a result, the princess revealed about her youngest son (6): “One of Louis’ first words was’ Mary ‘because all of my cookbooks on the kitchen shelf are exactly up to date.” For her services to culinary art, she was awarded Commander in 2012 and in 2020 as a lady Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
