Public prosecutor calls for probation for depardieu
Two women accuse Gérard Depardieu sexual harassment. The French actor denies this. The prosecutor demands probation – but with very specific requirements.
In the harassment process against Gérard Depardieu, the public prosecutor has called for a prison sentence of 18 months associated with a three -year probation requirement. This would mean that the French actor would not have to go to prison if he adhered to requirements.
According to the public prosecutor, this should include mandatory psychological care and the entry in the register for sex offenders. In addition, the indictment requested a fine of 20,000 euros.
Prosecutor calls for equal treatment
In this case, it is about sexual assault, emphasized prosecutor Laurent Guy in his plea. He asked the court to assess Gérard Depardieu as well as any other defendant.
In the tense process, two women – a decorator and a director’s assistant – accused the famous French actor to have touched her in 2021 during the filming of the film “Les Volets Verts” (the green shutters) by director Jean Becker to the butt, breasts and intimate area.
Defense wants acquisition
Depardieu’s lawyer Jérémie Assouus demanded the actor’s acquittal in a good three -hour, emotional plea. There was no sexual harassment. He invented the accusations of the director’s assistant. The defender described the statements of the decorator as unbelievable. He also questioned several testimonies.
The procedure is full of lies and inconsistencies. Assous said he wanted the nightmare and hell to which Depardieu had thrown into an end. Depardieu said at the end of the trial: “I have been moving through the mud for three years.”
Depardieu denies conscious harassment
Depardieu denied during the process of sexually harassing both women. In the case of the decorator, however, he admitted that he had touched her on his hips, but emphasized that this was not meant to be sexually meant. The court wants to speak its judgment in the case on May 13th.
