The Chaqueño Palavecino sympathized with the collective defense of copyright

The folklorist warned about the situation that musicians and composers live today, after the regulation of the activity carried out by the government.

The musician was recognized by the Buenos Aires Legislature.

The folklore singer Oscar Esperanza “El Chaqueño” Palavecinosolidarity with musicians and composers, recognizing that they are going through difficult moments, within the framework of the measures taken by the National Government, to regularize the activity of societies that defend the copyright of the artists.

In this sense, the singer -songwriter remarked that, although he has to face these adversities, his music, his folklore, he always is. “Even if we have attacks everywhere”he warned.

In addition, the musician of the Norte Argentino remarked that the authors want “everything that is happening with the musicians”, due to the decree that allowed the party halls not to pay Sadaic copyright. “The author belongs to music, which in a party hall is fundamental. Music is part of life,” he said.

In this sense, El Chaqueño said that, thanks to music, Sadaic, the society that defends the rights of musicians and composers, can pay many authors and that, thanks to this, those authors retire. “They access something that many have no opportunity”he explained.

The Chaqueño Palavecino was recognized for his career

The artist received a recognition from the Buenos Aires Legislature for his artistic and cultural task, when the 40th anniversary of his career as an interpreter, musician and folk composer. During the approval, which was promoted by a project of legislator Maia Daer, the folklorist said: “40 years have passed. It is very nice what happened here with everything, but also very expensive, in every sense”.

Within this framework, El Chaqueño said that he had a long time that he stepped on the city of Buenos Aires for the first time, where “it is not easy for a provincial”, and recalled: “I was a collective and it was difficult to do my thing. But I spent time, I did not sleep much. We walked with the song and guitar and those desire to continue and doing the things I never looked for,” he said.
