A sight with a rarity value: billion -in heiress Athina Onassis has been publicly shown again for the first time in almost three years.
Athina Onassis (40) shy away from the public as best they can. The granddaughter of the legendary Greek shipowner Aristotle Onassis (1906-1975) has repeatedly withdrawn from the spotlight in recent years. Now the billion -in heiress has surprisingly appeared at an event, as photos on Instagram show.
Glamorous evening in the Center Pompidou
The professional show jumping rider took part in a dinner in the art and cultural center Center Pompidou in Paris on March 11th. The organizers of the event, “Amis du Center Pompidou”, shared several photos of the event around three weeks later, on which Athina Onassis can also be seen. The 40-year-old wore a black, semi-transparent maxi dress with a glittering jacket for the occasion.
Most recently, onassis was seen in public in June 2022 – also in Paris, at the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping tournament. This was followed by several years of media abstinence, while nothing came to the public from the lives of the athlete. Even the “Athina Onassis Horse Show” named after her missed her in the summer of 2023. Her last known start at a tournament was in Oliva, Spain in January of the same year.
Life shaped by blows of fate
Despite her famous name, Anthina onassis is considered extremely media -shy and avoids interviews and social media. Also while her work as a show jumper, she ensured that she was only photographed on the parkour. Her life was overshadowed by tragedies right from the start: The daughter of Christina Onassis and Thierry Roussel lost her mother to alcohol and tablet abuse at the age of three. What followed was a legal dispute over the legacy of her grandfather Aristotle Onassis. Today it has an estimated assets of around 3.5 billion euros.
According to media reports, Athina Onassis is currently to live in Belgium. After the separation from her husband, jumping rider Álvaro Affonso de Miranda Neto, called “Doda”, she is said to have come to rest in 2016. The two were married for eleven years.
