Warner Bros. Pictures launched the first trailer of One Battle After Anotherthe last film by screenwriter and director Paul Thomas Anderson, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

This is the first time Dicaprio stars in a Anderson movie. In addition to DiCaprio, the cast includes Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Alana Haim, Benicio del Toro, Wood Harris, Shayna Mchayle and Chase Infiniti.


The details of the plot and the exact title of the film remained unknown until the first advance was launched, and it was expected that One Battle After Another was inspired by the classic novel of Thomas Pynchon 1990, “Vineland”.
What is One Battle After Another.
The trailer reveals that DiCaprio plays Bob Ferguson, an eccentric and disheveled revolutionary who tries to save his daughter. Start with Bob, with a hat and a bathing gown, using a public phone to ask for help from some unknown rebel allies, but forgetting what keywords to use. Del Toro plays Bob’s sensei and teaches him to live without fear, and pushes him out of a car at full speed. The trailer ends with DiCaprio shouting “Long live the revolution!” and he and the bull prepare to fight their enemies.

Anderson wrote the script and produced it with Sara Murphy and the late Adam Somner. The film was shot in 35 mm with Vistission cameras, with production in California and additional filming outdoors in El Paso, Texas.
It should be noted that this is DiCaprio’s first leading role since Killers of the Flower Moon of 2023, the historical drama of Martin Scorsese which was nominated for 10 Oscar awards. While Anderson has not yet won an Oscar award, he has been nominated 11 times over the years, with Liquorice Pizza receiving nominations for best film, best director and best original script. He received his first Óscar nomination in 1998 for his script as Boogie Nights.
