Annika and Heinz Hoenig: You married a second time

After months of full health turbulence, Heinz Hoenig (73) and his wife Annika Kärsten-Hoenig sealed their love for the second time. The two married on Saturday – one day before their 40th birthday and the sixth wedding anniversary of the couple – again on the North Sea island of Sylt in the closest family – in the Freundeskreis. There were around 15 guests.

Heinz Hoenig had to go to the hospital in May 2024 due to acute heart problems. Bacteria had damaged his esophagus, the actor was operated on and the esophagus was removed. After 143 days in the intensive care unit – including ops, coma and resuscitation – Annika Kärsten -Hoenig brought her “Heinzi” home and has been maintaining it since then. The “Das Boot” star is still an operation on the aorta.

Kärsten-Hoenig had already given information about an upcoming event on Instagram in recent weeks. “Heinz and I are already busy. He was a few rounds around the kitchen block, because we have something in a few days,” she wrote there. And further: “Heinzi now knows where to go, but what will take place.

For the first time, Annika and Heinz Hoenig married on March 30, 2019, almost six years ago, in the historic town hall of Blankenburg (Harz). The two have two sons together (born 2020 and 2022). Kärsten-Hoenig also brought a daughter into marriage.
