Dave Navarro and Vanessa Dubasso: Rock legend marries in the fairytale castle

Dave Navarro (57) married his fiance Vanessa Dubasso (32) on Saturday (March 29) in Scotland. The Jane’s Addiction guitarist and former member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the actress and fashion designer had chosen a special place for her wedding: Dunsky Estate, a castle near the coast and surrounded by a large forest.

The backdrop fit perfectly with the couple’s ideas of a “Gothic, dark-romantic atmosphere”. In the Edwardian Castle with its “atmospheric, essential charm” you feel like in a fairy tale. Navarro adds: “We wanted our wedding to feel like a dream.” In a forest ceremony, Navarro and Dubasso gave themselves the yes word and made every effort to let their vision reality: the course was lined with white roses, the trees hung chandeliers, the vow were written handwritten.

The bride was wearing a white corset dress in the marie-an-amette style with a cross emblem and a black velvet lacing, which subtly caught the black suit of the groom. Her outfit consisted of a flowing, floor-length skirt that was bound with a loop, white Mary-Jane pumps from Versace and a couple of angel wings.

During the intimate ceremony in the forest, a three-person quartet played live classical music, the final after the yes word “Spring 1” by Max Richter’s Vivaldi-Neuinterpretations sounded, while fireworks illuminated the evening sky. Also today, the festivities for the couple and his guests, including Pete Davidson (31), continue: with shooting exercises, encounters with owls and other birds, a barbecue in the forest and a campfire on the beach.

Navarro and his current wife got to know each other eight years ago after the rock star had seen a film trailer with Dubasso and fell in love at first glance. About the film’s director asked him whether the actress was interested in a date with him. For her too, it was love at first glance, enthuses Dubasso: “Being whole is powerfully magnetic.”

For Navarro it is the fourth wedding of his life, among other things he had been married to actress Carmen Electra (52).
