The martial arts, combat choreographer and stuntman Richard Norton is dead. Action hero Chuck Norris mourns the loss of a close friend.

Richard Norton (1950-2025), actor, martial arts expert, coach and Stuntman, died at the age of 75. The Australian -born participated in action films on the side of stars like Chuck Norris (85) and Jackie Chan (70). He was included in the films “Octagon”, “Twinkle, Twinkle, Lucky Stars”, “City Hunter” and “China O’Brien”.

His wife mourns the love of her life

Norton’s death was announced by his wife Judy at the weekend. In it she wrote to a couple’s picture: “I am stunned and destroyed on the ground, I have no words, I have lost everything.” He was the love of her life.

Richard Norton was born on January 6, 1950 in Croydon, a suburb of Sydney, Australia, and started with judo at the age of eleven. “The only disadvantage was that I was pretty small and thin … so I became a cannon feed for some of the older, larger students!” He said “The Hollywood Reporter”. After discovering karate in the high school, he trained the bouncers and security personnel and towered techniques from boxing, judo and rings.

For two decades he worked as a bodyguard for music greats such as Rolling Stones, Abba or David Bowie. In 1976 he met Chuck Norris for the first time when the actor came to Australia to give demonstrations in Kickbox competitions. After Norton moved to Los Angeles in 1979, the two of them trained almost every morning and became friends.

Chuck Norris dedicated his late buddy. He announced to many common pictures: “I am absolutely inconsistent about the loss of my dear friend and brother Richard Norton. The wonderful memories we shared are valued forever in my heart. Richard, you not only made me a better martial artist, but also made me a better person.” He was one of the best men he ever known. “I long for more time, but I comfort myself that we will see each other again.”

Norton also acted as a combat choreographer for the CBS series “Walker Texas Ranger” (1993-2001), in which Chuck Norris played the leading role, as well as for films such as “The Conemned” (2007), “Mad Max: Fury Road” (2015), “Dark Phoenix” (2019) and the “Suicide Squad” films from 2016 and 2021. Norton trained countless stars in the course of his career. Scarlett Johansson, Liam Neeson, Charlize Theron, Sophie Turner, Anya Taylor-Joy, Ben Affleck, Margot Robbie and Charlie Hunnam were included.
