Confirmed, “The Handmaid’s Tale” will have a sequel series: “The Testaments”

The American platform Hulu confirmed the series that follows to The Handmaid’s Tale: The testaments, with scheduled production to start on April 7. The protagonist of The Handmaid’s Tale, Elisabeth Mosswill also be an executive producer of the project. According to the Deadline portal, Moss is expected to be a guest star in the sequel, taking up the role of June Osbourne, who is linked to Agnes and Daisy. With the premiere of the last season of The Handmaid’s Tale planned for April 8, June’s appearances will depend on whether the rebellion survives, unless they opt for a flashback.

“The testaments” also complete its cast with 9 new actors: Mabel Li, Amy Seimetz, Brad Alexander, Zarrin Darnell-Martin, Eva Fote, Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana, Birva Pandya and Kira Guloien.

What is “The Testaments”

This personal growth story leads us to a new generation of young people in Gilead, dealing with the gloomy future. For these young women, growing in Gilead is all they have known, without tangible memories of the outside world before their indoctrination in this life. Given the perspective of marrying and living a life of servitude, they will be forced to look for allies, both new and ancient, that help them in their struggle for freedom and life they deserve.

The previously announced main cast includes Chase infiniti like agnes, Lucy Halliday Like Daisy, Ann Dowd repeating his role as aunt Lydia in The Handmaid’s tale, Rowan Blanchard as shunammite and Mattea Conforti Like Beckka.

The Testaments is a creation of Miller, Showrunner, who is an executive producer with Littlefield, Moss, Steve Stark, Shana Stein, Maya Goldsmith, John Weber, Sheila Hockin, Daniel Wilson, Fran Sears and Mike Barker, who will also direct the first three episodes. Priscilla Poriand will be executive co -producer. The series is produced by MGM Television.
