Val Kilmer became famous for the role of combat pilot “Iceman”. Now stars from the “Top Gun” films have commented on his death.
Val Kilmer (1959-2025) died of pneumonia at the age of 65. Colleagues and many of his co-stars said goodbye to the actor on social media or in media statements and recognized his career, especially some “Top Gun” actors from both films.
“Goose” actor Anthony Edwards says goodbye to Val Kilmer
Anthony Edwards (62), who in the original film “Top Gun – you fear neither death nor the devil” from 1986 the role of Lt. Nick “Goose” embodied Bradshaw, said: “Val Kilmer created a work in his life as an artist that has touched so many people in so many media. Jennifer Connelly (54) wrote in an Instagram story: “Quiet in peace, our Iceman forever.” To do this, she shared the image of the actor, which had previously published and commented on the official Instagram page of “Top Gun”: “In memory of Val Kilmer, whose imperishable traces in the cinema span. Rip Iceman.”
Danny Ramirez (32), who was also seen in “Top Gun: Maverick”, wrote y to a black and white photo of Kilmer that the actor was “nothing but friendly, happy and playful” during the time together. “I felt blessed to have been in the same space. A brilliant and spacious artist and one of the coolest. Quiet in peace, Val.”
