Michelle Williams and Thomas Kail showed up at the premiere of “Dying for Sex”. The couple have two children together.
Michelle Williams (44) and Thomas Kail (48) have made a rare joint appearance. The actress and the Tony-winning director appeared on Wednesday evening at the premiere of the new FX series “Dying for Sex” in the SVA Theater in New York City. Williams plays the main role in this.
At the event, the actress wore an elegant, flowing dress in a delicate lavender, while her husband decided to make a classic black suit. The couple, who rarely performed together on the red carpet, shone at the premiere of the new Hulu series.

In 2018, Williams and Kail met in the filming of the FX series “Fosse/Verdon”, in which the actress took over the role of Gwen Verdon, while Kail acted as a producer and director. The couple finally married in 2020 and now has two children together.
Before she came together with Kail, Williams was briefly married to the musician Phil Everum, from whom she divorced in 2019. From her relationship with the late actor Heath Ledger (1979-2008), Williams also has a 19-year-old daughter named Matilda. Kail was married to actress Angela Christian from 2006 to 2019.
Main role in “Dying for Sex”
In the new series “Dying for Sex”, Williams plays a woman who, according to her diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer, decides to reduce her sexuality after her divorce while fighting the disease. The series is based on the Wonnyy podcast of the same name and was produced by the triple Emmy award winner Nikki Boyer.
In conversation with the magazine, Williams revealed on the red carpet that the central relationship between history – the friendship between the characters Molly and Nikki – she “let them think even more deeply about how important their female friendships are. “Dying for Sex” celebrates its premiere on Hulu on April 4th.
Williams became known as Jen Lindley in the teen series “Dawson’s Creek” and received her first Oscar nomination as the best supporting actress for her role in Ang Lees “Brokeback Mountain” (2005).
