260 appearances a year, then the diagnosis of bladder cancer: Mickie Krause has completely changed his life after health crises.
Mickie Krause (54) brought Ballermann to a boil with his party hits such as “Biste Braun, Wahrt Fraun” or “Ten naked hairdressers”. But behind the exuberant mood on the stage was a man who got to his physical and mental borders. “I worked and did my jobs. I was lost my lightness,” admits the party singer.
A few years ago, Krause completed an incredible workload of around 260 appearances a year. A mammoth program that left traces: he knew “how burnout feels”, the musician recalls the time shortly before Corona. “I didn’t know why I was still doing it.” The exhaustion due to the permanent burden was firmly under control: “I was burned out!”
Reminding because of cancer diagnosis
Then the big stroke of fate followed in February 2022: When filming the VOX show “Showtime of My Life – Stars against Cancer”, bladder cancer was diagnosed during a routine examination. Since the tumor was recognized early, it was well operated on – since August 2022, Krause has been considered tumor -free, as he announced his fans at the time.
The health burglary led to rethinking the workhorse. “I found how important a great family and friends are,” reflects Krause, who has been married to his wife Ute for over 33 years and has four children. Today, the entertainer goes to the check -up every six months and, according to its own statements, is “really fit” again.
Deceleration instead of Ballermann
Mickie Krause has now radically slowed down his life. “My life has become more relaxed. I have more free time and I have free time on Friday evening. It didn’t exist at the time,” he reports. Today the artist only completes about half of his previous appearances and also treats himself to several months. The reduced schedule re -sparked his enthusiasm for the stage: “I really feel like it again!” Explains the singer. “My ease is back.”
In order to stay fit for his appearances, Krause developed a strict sports program. He trains four times a week for the Leipzig marathon on April 13 and runs of up to 33 kilometers. And he also goes full throttle musically: He has just released his new duet album “Plus 1”, on which he can be heard with Marc Eggers and Jürgen Drews, among others.
