Aerolineas Argentina starts flying from April to three Brazilian destinations

“For this it is very important to have the support of the Argentine Embassy in Brazil to promote corporate agreements, the expansion works and enhancement of the airport in charge of Transportation, and the work of Tourism with travel agencies and making known the Country Brand,” he added.

In the case of Brasilia, a route that was suspended during the previous administration in 2016, it will have 4 weekly frequencies to and from Aeroparque, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays starting in the first week of April.

Meanwhile, Curitiba will have 4 weekly flights: Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, while Porto Alegre will also have 4 weekly flights: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, both to and from Aeroparque.

In both cases, the destinations have not been operated since the beginning of the restrictions due to the pandemic.

“I celebrate this decision by Aerolineas to rejoin the capitals of the two countries because it will have a very positive impact on the commercial, institutional and tourist agenda,” Ambassador Scioli said in this regard.

For his part, Guerrera indicated that “specifically the Brasilia thing is very important because it is a point that connects with 30 large cities in the country, and in this way it will no longer be necessary to have to transfer or have a domestic flight in between. “.

Finally, Lammens pointed out that the “big bet for the stage that is beginning is in receptive tourism and in improving connectivity, two key points that give us the great opportunity to facilitate the entry of foreign currency for the country.”

“Today we are taking another step with that horizon, strengthening ties with a strategic ally such as Brazil and hand in hand with Aerolineas Argentinas, our flag carrier, which is aligned with this ambitious objective of the National Government,” he added.

During the summer season, which began on December 15, more than 40,000 passengers flew between Argentina and Brazil on the company’s flights.

Currently the company operates 18 weekly frequencies to and from São Paulo; 14 weekly to and from Rio de Janeiro; 7 weekly to Florianopolis; 3 weekly to Salvador de Bahía; 3 weekly between Córdoba and Rio de Janeiro; and another 3 weekly between Córdoba and Florianópolis.
