After a fatal accident during the stage structure, Nino de Angelo canceled his concert in Leipzig. A worker had fallen.
Schlagerstar Nino de Angelo (61) must cancel his concert in Leipzig, planned for Thursday evening. The reason is tragic: a worker was killed in the preparations for the show in the Quarterback Immobilien Arena.
In one, the singer personally turned to his fans: “Unfortunately, I have to give you a sad message, this morning there was a fatal, tragic accident in building production. And because of this we will not play the concert,” said de Angelo visibly affected. “Our condolences and compassion are the relatives.”
Police confirmed the accident
A police spokeswoman confirmed the incident. The emergency services were therefore alerted around 9:20 a.m. after a person had fallen into the depth of the stage building from a great height. With regard to the relatives, the spokeswoman made no more precise information about the seriousness and type of injuries.
An employee of the concert organizer also commented on the medium of the tragic event: “The artist, band, organizer and operator of the Quarterback Immobilien Arena Leipzig are not able to carry out the event today. Our thoughts are among the relatives.”
New appointment is already certain
Fans who were looking forward to the appearance of the “Beyond Eden” interpreter must now be patient. December 9, 2025 was announced as a catch -up date. According to the organizer, the tickets already purchased keep their validity. Despite the tragic circumstances, Nino de Angelo plans to have his show planned for Friday in Hanover as planned. “Show must go on,” said the 61-year-old.
The concert in Leipzig was supposed to start the singer’s “someday” tour of the singer. The concert series leads him in April, May, November and December through a total of 32 German cities.
