Judith Rakers realizes her lifelong dream and moves with her “little farm” and all animals – to their favorite place.
Judith Rakers (49) leaves the mainland and fulfills her long -cherished dream. The passionate hobby farmer moves to the Baltic island of Rügen with her “little farm”. What many of her followers initially considered a joke after the announcement on April 1, the former “Tagesschau” spokeswoman now confirmed: “The farm moves to Rügen. In summer. And all animals come along.”
Moving with sack and pack
“Many of you wondered if that was an April joke yesterday,” said Rakers in the clip. But that is not the case, because on your property on the island, the work is already in full swing: there are already two glass greenhouses in front of a wooden house and several raised beds. Right in front of it is the new couplel for your horses Sazou and Charlie including duck pond. The moderator had previously shared while excavators drive through the garden.
The move had already indicated for attentive followers. Since January there have always been small indications that Judith Rakers wanted to spend more time on her absolute favorite island. “Soon I will be able to be here much more often,” she said at the beginning of the year and also raved: “Rügen, my love … 2025 will be my island year.”
On Instagram, Rakers regularly shares insights into her life as a “homefar”, so far in northern Hamburg. On her farm she not only builds vegetables herself, but also supplies the two horses, three cats and chickens. She also operates a website including a shop with garden utensils and newsletters and has published several books on the subject of self -sufficiency, cooking and farming.
