Sean “Diddy” Combs is faced with further accusations. The US public prosecutor has submitted a new indictment.
The legal situation for Sean “Diddy” Combs (55) further exacerbates. , the US public prosecutor submitted a third, additional indictment against the musician. The new documents available to the US promortal therefore contain two additional, serious allegations: sex trade using violence, fraud or coercion and promotion for the purpose of prostitution.
According to the officials, the new allegations refer to a period from 2021 to 2024 and concern a person who is only referred to in the court documents as “victim 2”. In this case, the Combs lawyer’s team had previously described the alleged victims as former friends and indicated that “victim 1” was his ex-partner Cassie Ventura (38).
Five serious charges
With the extended indictment, the number of criminal allegations against Combs increases to a total of five: two charges for sex trade, two for promotion for the purpose of prostitution and one because of gang crime.
The rapper already advocated “not guilty” with regard to the previous charges at a hearing in March. The start of the trial is scheduled for May 12th, according to the US media reports, the selection of the jury begins on May 5.
The first civil lawsuit for alleged abuse against the hip-hop mogul was submitted by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura two years ago. Although this case was settled out of court, numerous other complaints from other people followed with similar allegations. Combs was arrested in September 2024. Since then, he has been in custody in the metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after several applications were rejected for release against the deposit. In the event of a conviction, he threatens a lifelong prison sentence.
