Around 1,200 celebrities from music, show, film and television took part in the award ceremony of the 25th Radio Regenbogen Awards.
The Radio Rainbow Award celebrated its 25th anniversary. On April 4, around 1,200 guests from the German and international entertainment industry came to the Europa-Park Arena.
“Synonym for Kölsch-Rock”
BAP founder Wolfgang Niedecken (74) received the prize for his life’s work that evening. His name in Germany is “a synonym for Kölsch rock, poetic texts and tireless commitment,” said a press release. He stands for more than just music: “He is a chronicler, artist, socio -political and above all a person who is not satisfied with the status quo,” the musician was recognized. He received the Lifetime Award from his good friend Hannes Ringlstetter.
Prize winners personally receive awards
Tradition for the Radio Rainbow Award is that all award winners personally receive their on -site award. These stars could also look forward to a prize: Mark Ambor (Newcomer International), Fast Boy (Newcomer National), Milow (The Voice) Sophie and the Giants (Pop International), Florian Schroeder (Comedy), Isaak (Pop National), Nico Santos (artist National), Michael “Bully” Herbig (Medienmann), Barbara Schöneberger (Media woman) and Cyril (Song of the Year).
Former winners greeted by video
Comedian Mirja Boes (53) moderated the event that had started with a surprise: winners from the past few years – from the Pet Shop Boys to Peter Maffay – sent greetings via video.
