Schrader wrote the screenplays for several cult films by Martin Scorsese, such as “Taxi Driver”. He is also known as a director.

In Cannes, Schrader presented his latest film “Oh, Canada” (no German theatrical release). The drama is occupied with Richard Gere, Uma Thurman and Jacob Elordi.
Dispute over a suspected comparison
The former employee set up the lawsuit at the New York court because the 78 -year -old director did not comply with an extrajudicial comparison with her.
Schrader’s lawyer Kessler told the “Hollywood Reporter” that it was a “desperate, opportunistic and reckless lawsuit for enforcing a comparison that was never signed by Schrader”. The presumption of innocence applies until the final conviction.
