Elton John talks about eye problems: “It is shocking”
The British music star talks about how much he can still see and what helps him deal with his visual impairment.
Pop star Elton John (78) talks about the extent of his eye problems. “I can see her, but I can’t watch TV, I can’t read,” the British musician told a reporter of the “Times”. “I can’t see how my boys play rugby and football.”
The musician (“Rocket Man”, “I’m Still Standing”) had made it public that he has had problems with seeing since an eye infection. “It was a very stressful time because I was used to absorbing everything,” said John, according to the newspaper. “It’s shattering.”
“You get emotional, but you have to get used to it,” said John. He was happy about the life he has. “I still have my wonderful family and I can still see something here,” said John and, according to the newspaper, pointed to his left eye. “So you say to yourself: Keep on.”
The music star, who has two sons with his husband David Furnish, just came back with a new album. “Who Believes in Angels?” is a duett album with the US singer Brandi Carlile.
