Katy Perry also seems to prepare for her rocket trip fashionably. She appeared in a futuristic metallic look for an event.
Katy Perry (40) made a futuristic appearance in the Breakthrough Prize a week before her planned flight into space. In doing so, she smoothed the galaxy of famous faces such as Christina Aguilera, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lizzo, Lily Collins, Alicia Keys and Kate Hudson.
The Breakthrough Prize was awarded on April 5th in the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. He recognizes progress in research and is practically considered the Oscar of sciences. For the appearance, the singer chose a long, silver metallic dress with an inclined neckline.
This also included a cape that covered her hair styled in 1920s. The make-up was chosen minimally, so the dress shone for itself. In contrast to Perry: she posed for the photographers with a mostly serious expression.
Rocket flight should take eleven minutes
With the appearance, Perry might get in the mood for her next big adventure – the journey with Jeff Bezos’ space company Blue Origin into space. The singer will be in illustrious society on April 14th. Journalist Gayle King, the former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, filmmaker Kerianne Flynn and Bezos’ fiance Lauren Sánchez will also be on board the rocket and will be an expected around eleven-minute flight.
“I’m the first in line”
Katy Perry, who has already sung about space in hits like “et”, said that she has been dreaming of it for more than 20 years. She revealed to “Elle”: “I checked all possible commercial options. As a Blue Origin, I thought for the first time about commercial trips to space, I thought: ‘I am registering! I’m the first in line.'”
