Kevin Bacon: At 66, he still has a lot to do

Kevin Bacon (66) does not intend to shorten the professionally in the near future. “I am more determined than ever,” he emphasized in an interview.

“There is no slowdown for me,” said the Hollywood star at the premiere of his new action horror series “The Bondsman” (Prime Video). “It’s funny, because I have the feeling that many people my age like to stop, make it slower or play golf or whatever.” There are so many things that he still wants to do as an actor, musician and songwriter. “I don’t intend to shorten.”

Which project is up, however, is still unclear: “I don’t know. Surprisingly, I held out for so long that I am always amazed that things are still offered to me.” He still does not consider this for granted.

Although he has been part of the actor’s top league for decades, he does not see himself as the main actor. “I am so grateful that I can not only earn my living as an actor, but also for the possibilities that I offer because I or the business made the decision for me to become a character actor and not the main actor.” He is also pleased that he is filled for very different roles.

Since his film debut in “I think”, a horse “(1978) kicks me”, Kevin Bacon has made a name for himself through many projects. He was seen in numerous well -known films such as “Footloose”, “Apollo 13” and “Crazy, Stupid, Love”. For his role as Michael Strobl in “Taking Chance”, he was awarded a Golden Globe and a screen Actors Guild Award. He is also a passionate musician and has been on stage with his brother Michael since the 90s – as The Bacon Brothers.
