Dieter Hallervorden
He reacts to allegations of racism
An appearance by Dieter Hallervorden in the ARD anniversary show makes high waves. In a statement, the comedian commented on criticism.
Dieter Hallervorden (89) triggered violent discussions with the new edition of an old cult sketch. In a long statement, he reacted to allegations of racism and emphasized: “Satire is no longer understood.”
“I don’t want to be censored”
In the “75 Years of ARD” anniversary show on April 5, Hallervorden, together with his colleague Harald Effenberg (67), performed an almost 50-year-old sketch from his previous series “Nonsstop Nonsens”. However, it was a changed version in which he used the “n-word” and the “Z-word”-which immediately made high waves on social networks.
The comedian: “Satire is no longer understood, this time it affects yesterday’s broadcast of the anniversary show ’75 years ARD ‘.” There is astonishment at why the ARD permitted the sketch uncensored in the pre -recorded program. Hallervorden emphasized: “Good thing. 1. I don’t want to be put on a track.2. I don’t want to be censored.” For this he thanked the ARD.
He played a Knasti in the sketch that was in construction because of the no longer correct expressions. “Woke people of today try anxiously not to dance out of line, meticulously follow all social media bids so as not to put you at likes and no longer understand satire because satire is no longer occurring for fear of misunderstandings.”
Hallervorden also wrote: “In the absence of courage to get excited about the real grievances, because they are not to denounce that they are not in fashion, you can get over a comedian who sits on a jail bed and starts a famous sketch with a new text.” However, this distracts from the “real misconduct of our turning point”.
Terms as provocation
The broadcaster had previously commented. A spokeswoman told “T-Online” on behalf of the ARD program directorate: “In his role as an inmate, he addressed the change in language and used terms that are no longer up to date for good reasons-but were deliberately set as a provocation in this satirical context.” The ARD is against racism and stands for diversity as well as for freedom of art.
