Dispute over security: Harry for court appointment in London

Rare visit to Great Britain: Prince Harry appears on a court appointment in London. He does not want to give up in the dispute over his security measures.

Prince Harry (40) is due to a trial in London. The younger son of King Charles III. (76) The British Ministry of the Interior argues for its security measures. On Tuesday morning, he now appeared personally for the appointment at the appellate court, as the British news agency report reported.

In essence, it is about whether Harry, who lives in the USA, is entitled to the same protective measures as the rest of the royal family when he travels to his old homeland in Great Britain.

Harry wanted to raise a decision by the responsible committee. This had downgraded Harry’s security status after lying down his royal duties.

Last year, however, a judge Harry’s claim rejected and ruled that the decision was neither illegal nor “irrational” and that there was no injustice. Harry now wants to proceed against the decision of the High Court.

Harry worried about his family

Harry had withdrawn from the royal family with his wife Duchess Meghan (43) five years ago. The two live with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in California.

The Interior Ministry had asserted in the dispute that Harry received tailor -made precautions. Harry’s lawyer accused the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures that his decision to grant Harry has made less protection on the basis of an inadequate security analysis. As a result, Harry’s children in Great Britain are not adequately protected.

Harry is now rarely in Great Britain. According to various allegations, the relationship with the royal family is considered broken. Harry is the younger son of King Charles, who is currently visiting Italy, and the brother of heir to the throne Prince William (42).
