Anita Co: “The judicial system is a joke, a mockery; here and everywhere”

The Superior Court of Brazil decided yesterday that the process in which Darthés is accused of “aggravated rape” for abuse against Fardin, who reported having been raped during a theatrical tour in Nicaragua in 2009 when she was 16 years old, was not under federal jurisdiction, for which resolved that the cause “return to page zero”.

The ruling took place after the declaration of several witnesses and when the debate was in its final part.

Fardin had testified as a witness in the case on December 28 remotely from the headquarters of the Fiscal Unit Specialized in Violence against Women (UFEM) in Buenos Aires.

After knowing the decision of the Brazilian Court, Anita Co assured: “How can you ask for justice like this? How can you expect something from the supposed justice? It should be called something else. Disgust, for example.”

Darthés criminally denounced Anita Co for libel after she reported in February 2018 on her social networks an abuse she suffered from the actor when, in 1999, they recorded the television strip “Gasoleros”, a cause in which it was dismissed.

Meanwhile, from the collective Argentine actresses They also expressed their repudiation of the decision of the Brazilian justice and through social networks they asked for “enough of impunity”.

“Always with @soythelmafardin”, they posted on their Twitter account and used hashtags with the slogans “justice for Thelma” and “for Thelma and for all”.

Fardin denounced last night on his Instagram account the decision of the Superior Court of Brazil and stressed that the message is “impunity.”

“I traveled to Nicaragua and there they said that he had to be judged. Brazil decides that it has jurisdiction and after listening to me decides that it does not have jurisdiction. This means a level of violent revictimization,” he remarked in a video.

In addition, he announced that he will take the case to the Supreme Court, “which has a history that these types of crimes are prosecutable in the Federal Justice” of Brazil, and added: “We are going to continue insisting that Justice listen, this does not end here, I’m tired but not defeated.”

Juan Rafael Pacifico Dabul -real name of Darthés- was born in Brazil, the country where he moved in 2019 to avoid being arrested for the arrest warrant distributed by Interpol.

That is why the trial takes place in Brazil, and it is an unprecedented fact that a Public Ministry of that country raises as its own an accusation from Nicaragua against one of its citizens.
