“Adolescence” under top five of the Netflix series

In “Adolescence” a teenager of the murder is transferred to a classmate. The stirring series has already overtaken Netflix hits such as “Bridgerton” and “House of Money” when calling up.

According to Netflix, the British Miniseries “Adolescence” is one of the five most successful series of the streaming service after just less than a month.

Within the first three and a half weeks since the publication (March 13), Netflix registered for four-part production, the consequences of which were rotated as one shots, i.e. without cutting, around 114.5 million calls.

The series “Adolescence” over a 13-year-old who stabs a peer-like one in the all-time charts of Netflix for English-language series in fourth place-behind “Wednesday” (2022), “Stranger Things” (season four of 2022) and “Dahmer-Monster: The story of Jeffrey Dahmer” (2022).

If you still look at the list of non-English-language serial hits from Netflix, only the two seasons of the Korean survival thriller series “Squid Game” in front of “Adolescence” push.

If you do not count the two seasons of “Squid Game” (2021 and 2024) as different series, you can say that “adolescence” is among the five most successful Netflix series.

The series from the United Kingdom (duration 3 hours, 50 minutes) is therefore more successful than HIT series as “Bridgerton”, “Das Damengambit” or “Lupine” from France and “House of Money” from Spain.

However, the Netflix best lists only refer to the first 91 online days at Netflix. Netflix does not price longer -term calls.

“Adolescence” revolves around the teenager Jamie (Owen Cooper), who is stabbed a classmate one evening and is arrested the day after because of overwhelming evidence.

The murder of Katie is used in the series to explore and shed light on the boy’s psyche how social media and social pressure can fuel dangerous, misogynistic thinking patterns in young men.

Netflix, which claims to have more than 300 million paying members in over 190 countries, publishes its weekly charts on Tuesday evening, which records the streaming top-10 from Monday to Sunday.

First week of “Adolescence”, 13th to 16 March: 24.3 million calls (views) Second week, 17 to 23 March: 42 million call -ups Week, 24 to 30 March: 30.4 million ACCHEITIOR WEEK, March 31 to April 6th: 17.8 million calls
