Private unveiling of Anjelica Huston: Actress has been cancer -free for four years

Can -wall legend Anjelica Huston (73) came to the public with an extremely private matter. The ex-partner of Jack Nicholson (87) revealed to have cancer in the past. She would have received the diagnosis in 2019, after the publication of the action film “John Wick: Chapter 3”. In the meantime, however, it has been cancer -free for four years.

“It was a very serious moment for me. I managed to survive and I’m proud of myself,” explains Huston in retrospect about her fight. Now she has reached her “fourth anniversary, and that means so much to me. This is a fantastic thing. I am very proud of myself and I was very lucky. My doctors were wonderful”.

Huston does not want to address the exact type of cancer. Over the time after the diagnosis, she continues: “It was a big shock, but I made it aware of what I shouldn’t do when I shouldn’t go.” This also included “to take life too seriously. Therefore I laugh now when the opportunity arises and try not to make a big deal of it.”

Four years ago she found out that she was free of cancer. To celebrate this event, according to her own statement, she went to “just walk in my garden, smelled the roses and thought how clever I was”. She still completes regular scans.

However, the daughter of the great Hollywood director John Huston (1906-1987) does not think of any retirement. “I can’t imagine something like that. I think that would be too much even for me,” she revealed “People”.

Most recently, Huston was admired in the Agatha-Christian series “Towards Zero”, which was broadcast at the British BBC in March. Also in the upcoming action film offshoot “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina” she takes on her role of director from “John Wick 3”. In previous years, Huston worked exclusively as a spokeswoman, for example in Wes Anderson’s “The French Dispatch”.
