How did Beatrice Egli become known?
Very early in her life it became clear that Beatrice Egli was intended for the stage. At the age of 14 she started taking singing lessons and performed at folk festivals. Egli’s parents nevertheless advised her to complete an apprenticeship. And so today’s Schlager queen learned hairdresser. But she always remained true to the music. At the age of 17 she took part in the “Alpenschlager Festival” and finished second, she reached 12th place at the “Grand Prix of Folk Music”. Her breakthrough made her breakthrough a few years later. In 2013, the Swiss decided to demonstrate her skills at “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. She was considered a favorite early on and was able to win the tenth season in the end.

So Barbara Schöneberger began her television career: In the game show “Bube, Lady Hörig” she performed in 1998 as an assistant to Elmar Hörig. The current moderator, who dared to go to television at the end of the nineties, was born near Munich in 1974. She broke her studies (art history, sociology and communication science) at the University of Augsburg after ten semesters. For good reason – the success was not long in coming.

What did Beatrice Egli do?
Since her victory at DSDS, Beatrice has been a fixture in the German -speaking hit world. In 2015, the 36-year-old received her own show on ARD. “Big show of the dreams” ran for two years. To date, she moderates the program “The Beatrice Egli Show” in the SWR and MDR. In 2021 she took part in the Swiss version of the music program “Sing my song”. Two years later she was part of Helene Fischer’s legendary Christmas show.

Even today, Beatrice Egli lives in her home country, Switzerland. She keeps silent about her love life. Last year, the Schlager rumor mill was cooked when speculation was that Egli could be in a relationship with Helene Fischer’s ex-boyfriend Florian Silbereisen. The two used the reports and quickly took up a common song.
