Shirin David: Rap-Barbie celebrates its 30th birthday

Shirin David celebrates a milestone on April 11th: the most successful German rapper is 30 years old. She already spoke up with a clear announcement: “I’m grown up now,” wrote the musician under her contribution.

To do this, she shared photos that she showed before her concert the day before. David wears a transparent white dress with heart details on the breasts with knee highs and narrow glasses. It also made a picture of her birthday cake into the post: for the 30th there was apparently a playful decorated, pink cake with flower and heart candles.

The artist does not celebrate the special day in a small circle, but with thousands of fans at her concert in the Quarterback Immobilien Arena in Leipzig. The show is part of your “smart but blonde” tour, with which you are currently touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Shirin David, who is called Barbara Schirin Davidavičius with a bourgeois name, is one of the most successful German musicians. With seven number-one singles, she is currently holding the record as a German artist with the most chart topsters. Her current album “Schlard but blond” was released in March and, as expected, landed in the charts.

The career of the native of Hamburg began in 2014 as a Youtuberin before publishing her debut album with “SuperSize” in 2019 and was the first German rapper to conquer the top of the album charts. In addition to her music, David keeps causing discussions – be it through her provocative texts, her self -staging or her socially critical statements. Especially for her hyped song “Bauch legs po”, criticism was hailing last year, conveying problematic body images. The 30-year-old himself does not see himself as a role model and emphasizes her artistic expression.
